Carty - Generate text art signs
While making Tarty I found a series of really cool artful text signs you can see at my text art collection. It had a really great idea of putting text characters bordering each other. I advanced this idea even a step further. I though that it's going to be great if characters are going to be able to get into each other's regions. Also, there seemed to be two similar ways to write these bordering characters - by using single, or double-border symbols. For you to fully understand these features, here's an example with "at" word:
I think I spent more than 15 hours coding and debugging this generator. I also had to ask 2 of my friends to help me with it. It looks like what I finally made - Carty - is worth those lonely hours. By now I couldn't find any better text art generator anywhere on the web.
As for other cool generators on the internet - there are some pretty-looking ones, but what they generate can't be put on Facebook and other websites. They all use blank spaces to separate the symbols, and those spaces are always just ignored. View 3D text art signs on Text Art to see what I mean. The only case when they aren't ignored is when you set up the <pre> tag like I did on my text art page.
You can type characters a-z, A-Z, 0-9, and :,.!?)(" '-+=. I think they're all you might need. Symbols, my carty uses are: ━┏┛┗┓┃┫╋┣︱┻┳ and ═╔╝╚╗║╣╬╠─╩╦ .
